Santa Clara County Results

More than 650 volunteers and 16,000 pounds of trash
removed from creeks!

Thanks to all the volunteers and site coordinators who and without their efforts, made this event a success!

There were 29 sites countywide –  here are results from the cleanup:

 

 San Francisquito Creek 

23 volunteers; approx. 1,550 lbs. of trash, 100 lbs. of recyclables

 

Upper Penitencia Creek

31 volunteers; approx. 115 lbs. of trash, 38 lbs. of recyclables

 

Guadalupe River @ McLellan Avenue

4 volunteers; approx. 1,030 lbs. of trash, 0 lbs. of recyclables
 

Los Gatos Creek @ Blackford School

15 volunteers; approx. 1,100 lbs. of trash, 0 lbs. of recyclables

 

Uvas Creek @ Christmas Hill Park

20 volunteers; approx. 300 lbs. of trash, 1 lb. of recyclables

 

Calero Creek 

8 volunteers; approx. 120 lbs. of trash, 50 lbs. of recyclables

 

Llagas Creek between Via Ciolino and Edmundson Avenue

3 volunteers; approx. 100 lbs. of trash, 3 lbs. of recyclables

Guadalupe Reservoir off HIcks Road in Almaden Quicksilver County Park

Stevens Creek Reservoir

Coyote Creek at Hellyer County Park

78 volunteers; approx. 800 lbs. of trash and 200 lbs. of recyclables

 

Coyote Lake at Coyote Lake County Park

4 volunteers; approx. 45 lbs. of trash, 15 lbs. of recyclables

 

Lexington Reservoir 

15 volunteers; 300 lbs. of trash, 20 lbs. of recyclables.

 

Coyote Creek 

23 volunteers; 200 lbs. of trash

 

Evergreen Creek

12 volunteers; 170 lbs. of trash, 15 lbs. of recyclables

Silver Creek 

3 volunteers; 860 lbs. of trash, 150 lbs. of recyclables
