There were 28 sites countywide. Here are results from the cleanup sites:

Site #1:  Palo Alto, San Francisquito Creek  
29 volunteers removed 450 pounds of trash and 50 pounds of recyclables

Site #2: Mountain View, Permanante Creek
20 volunteers removed 500 pounds of trash and 150 pounds of recyclables

Site #3:  Mountain View, Stevens Creek
17 volunteers removed 1,110 pounds of trash 

Site #4:  Sunnyvale, Sunnyvale West Channel
25 volunteers removed 40 pounds of trash and 10 pounds of recyclables

Site #5:  Sunnyvale, Calabazas Creek
20 volunteers removed 120 pounds of trash and 10 pounds of recyclables

Site #6:  Cupertino, Stevens Creek Reservoir 
62 volunteers removed 1,900 pounds of trash and 600 pounds of recyclables

Site #7:  Los Gatos, Lexington Reservoir 
15 volunteers removed 510 pounds of trash and 60 pounds of recylables

Site #8:  San José, Upper Penitencia Creek 
(north of Penitencia Creek Road and Noble Road) 

29 volunteers removed 1,800 pounds of trash and debris and 550 pounds of recylables

  Guadalupe River at McLellan
30 volunteers removed 200 pounds of trash and debris.

Los Gatos at Lexington Reservoir County Park
80 volunteers removed 800 pounds of trash and debris and 100 pounds of recylables. Unusual items found: high pressure hose with industrial filling, lawn chairs, 25' boat chain, and 1 audio tape.

Penitencia Creek at Toyon School
38 Volunteers removed 1,000 pounds of trash and debris.

Penitencia Creek at Penitencia Creek County Park
20 volunteers removed 3,037 pounds of trash and debris and 440 pounds of recylables. Unusual items found: large spool and old bed springs.

Saratoga Creek on Prospect Road
55 volunteers removed 370 pounds of trash and debris and 5 pounds of recylables. Unusual items found: 1 microwave oven, 1 art easel, a bra, a homework packet, and a shopping cart.

San Thomas Aquino Creek at Westmont High
19 volunteers removed 900 pounds of trash and debris and 40 pounds of recylables. Unusual items found: rusty motorcycle frame, bowling ball, deer bones, bed frame, and many baseballs.

Stevens Creek at Central Avenue
68 volunteers removed 5,000 pounds of trash and debris.

Stevens Creek at Stevens Creek County Park
176 volunteers removed 5,000 pounds of trash and debris.

Uvas Creek at Christmas Hill Park
50 volunteers removed 1,000 pounds of trash and debris.

Uvas Creek at Uvas Reservior
7 volunteers removed 1,140 pounds of trash and debris.
